The LG C5 OLED delivers reference-grade picture quality straight from the factory, with independent measurements confirming near-calibrated accuracy in Filmmaker and Cinema modes without spending a dime on professional calibration. It's meaningfully brighter than its predecessor, handles gaming superbly with four HDMI 2.1 ports and 144Hz, and beats the Sony A95L on out-of-box accuracy according to hands-on reviewer testing. The catch: AI processing is heavy-handed and needs to be turned off, the speakers are merely adequate, and it's still an OLED — meaning a bright sunlit room will fight it.

Filmmaker mode measured a delta E of 1.3 for grayscale and 1.0 for color straight from the box — better out-of-the-box accuracy than the Sony A95L, which was previously considered a benchmark.
Self-illuminating pixels produce absolute black with no local dimming zones needed, delivering contrast and off-axis image quality that LED-backlit TVs simply cannot match.
Four HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz support, near-zero input lag, and an auto-switching game dashboard make it superior to most LED rivals including the TCL QM7K according to side-by-side testing.
